Many phenomena born at the dawn of history and miraculously reached us through centuries and millenniums, modified but preserved their essence, became legends. They are many on the earth!
Today we will tell you one of them – The Legend about Armenia, because it is a wonderful land. And if today the little piece of it wouldn’t remain, confirming the fact, we would consider it to be a legend like Atlantis, World Flood and Noah’s Ark.
Armenia is a living legend, because it is not as much a country as its people, and people are the creators and carriers of the legend named Armenia.
And who are the Armenians? You cannot tell it in one sentence. Armenians are the mountains of their country. And their symbol is Ararat. Armenians are the creative work. And their symbol is Stone. The Nairi Ensemble is the result of 15 years’ musical experience shared between a conductor and a closely knit group of passionate musicians. Throughout his career as a violinist and conductor, Haik Davtian has sought to bring the music of Armenia and Georgia to new audiences. The musicians, graduates of leading French conservatoires, have been with the Ensemble since it was formed and its artistic coherence is underpinned by their deep, individual commitment. The group’s versatile, flexible format features a core of around twenty string instrumentalists to which can be added all the other instruments of a symphony orchestra, enabling a broader repertoire to be covered. Gradually, a desire to build up a repertoire combining the great classical composers with traditional aucasian folk music has evolved. The fruit of this long, artistically rich collaboration can be found in the Nairi Ensemble’s spirited, authentic interpretation of these repertoires. Today is the birthday of two companies: "Armenian Music Center" and its representation in Armenia "AbideWeb Technologies". Thanks to nine years productive activity they are among the leading companies in the world.
The last year was especially distinctive for both the companies. AMC realized several grandiose projects, among which are albums of Aram Gharabekyan NCOA "Armenian Classics and the Folk Idiom", Levon Malkhasyan "MALKHAS", Aramo & Emma "Return Home", Andranik Azlivyan "Folk in Funk", Grigor Narekatsi "Book of Lamentations", video album of Nune Yesayan "Twenty Years for you", film by Karen Balayan "Cilicia", etc. "AbideWeb Technologies" has developed the official pre-election website of NCOA, designed and furnished the official website of Ripsime Foundation, realized new website of "Global Aid Foundation", official website of "Takmans Ornamental Design", and the Brand Image design of the most Elie water company of Armenia Dilijan Expo, etc. Now company is working on new projects among which are the official websites of Dilijan Expo, several works of Governmental importance and so on. On February 20, according to a decree issued by RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, a number of Armenian well-known education and cultural workers were awarded with certificates of RA Ministry of Education and Science in the framework of the Native Language Day. Manuk Mkrtchyan, RA Deputy Minister of Education and Science, handed the certificates. “If we have to appoint a special day for our native language, so it's in danger. We should understand that the language forms our thinking and lifestyle and we should maintain and take care of it,” he mentioned. Honored Artist of Armenia Leila Saribekyan was among the nominees. Armenian Music Center congratulates Leyla Saribekyan on this occasion and wishes her new achievements. |

This is the 10th jubilee concert of renowned singers Aramo and Emma Petrosyan. The concert differed from all other concerts with the chosen program and with the songs containing the compilations of city folklore as well as songs by Constantine Orbelian, Jivan Gasparyan, Vache Hovsepyan, Al Jarreau, Elvina Makaryan, Emma Petrosyan and Aramo. Such concerts are of great importance for Aramo and Emma, giving them a chance to present and promote their unique art.
